ESL Steel Limited, a Vedanta Group company, marked World Environment Day 2025 with a week of sustainability-focused activities under the theme Small Steps for a Greener Tomorrow.   The campaign witnessed active participation from over 400 employees and business partners through awareness sessions, quizzes, and creative engagements like Pictionary and an Ecobits tips series. ESL also reached out to local youth, sensitizing over 50 students from its supported archery schools on plastic hazards and eco-conscious living.   More than 550 saplings were planted across the plant and CSR locations during the week. The company also adopted plastic-free practices in its canteen and distributed jute bags to reinforce its anti-plastic message.   The Best Environment Initiative Awards and poster-making contests recognized innovative contributions by individuals and teams.   Senior leadership, including Deputy CEO  Ravish Sharma and Director-HSES  Tapesh Chandra Naskar, lauded the teams efforts. Naskar emphasized that sustainability is embedded in ESLs culture and the company remains committed to inspiring environmental stewardship across communities.
