The Shaheed Thakur Ji Pathak Welfare Society – National Wing, led by President Surya Pathak and Secretary Chandra Pathak, observed National Environment Day with a series of impactful activities across multiple states, including Jharkhand, Karnataka, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and others. The society, known for its grassroots initiatives and commitment to social welfare, organized tree plantation drives at various locations to promote environmental awareness and action. In Jamshedpur, saplings were planted at public spaces and near residential areas, with active participation from youth and community members. Along with President Surya Pathak and Secretary Chandra Pathak, dedicated team members—Prahlad, K. Tarun Kumar, Sisir Shaoo, Ankita, Akta, Manju Devi, and several volunteers—spearheaded the campaigns, emphasizing the importance of restoring ecological balance. As part of the days events, a prayer ceremony was also held in solemn memory of the lives lost during the recent RCB victory celebrations in Bangalore. The gesture was a tribute to the value of life and a reminder of the responsibility citizens hold towards each other and the environment. Addressing the gathering, President Surya Pathak delivered a heartfelt message, urging citizens across the country to take a personal pledge to plant one tree for every member of their family. This small act, if embraced collectively, can lead to a massive transformation in the fight against climate change and environmental degradation, he said. The message resonated deeply with the participants, many of whom took to social media to share their tree-planting photos and pledges, amplifying the campaigns reach. Secretary Chandra Pathak added, Planting trees is not just an environmental duty—it is a social commitment. On this special day, let us remember those weve lost and create a future that is green, safe, and sustainable.
