Ranchi to host Junior National hockey tourney

The capital of Jharkhand, which is called the hub of hockey, is once again ready to host a national level competition. The Sub Junior National Girls Hockey Championship is going to be organized at Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Hockey Stadium from July 3 to July 14, in which 30 teams from the country including Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Haryana, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Bihar, West Bengal and Jharkhand will participate. Hockey Jharkhand and Hockey India have started extensive preparations for this national competition. Hockey India General Secretary Bholanath Singh is himself monitoring the preparations for this tournament. He is constantly in touch with the officials and members of the organizing committee so that there is no shortage of any kind in the event. At the same time, preparations are being carried out rapidly at the local level under the leadership of Hockey Jharkhand General Secretary Vijay Shankar Singh. Before the competition, a special training camp has been organized in Ranchi itself. In which girl teams from Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu and other states are participating. These players are being given international level training by experienced and professional coaches. The coaching staff of the Tamil Nadu team practising in the camp says that the environment of Ranchi is conducive to the game and the arrangements are excellent. The girls team of Jharkhand is also full of enthusiasm and confidence for this championship. The players of Jharkhand are confident about their performance and are preparing with the aim of showing excellent performance in this big tournament played on home grounds. The Jharkhand team is also getting training from experienced coaches and the players are continuously practising. Hockey Jharkhand General Secretary Vijay Shankar Singh said that complete arrangements have been made for food, accommodation and other basic facilities for all the players and officials participating in the competition. To ensure that the players do not face any kind of problem, the organising committee has formed a special team, which will monitor at every level. Through this sub-junior competition, future national and international hockey talents will also get an opportunity to hone their skills. Representatives of Hockey Indias selection committee will also be present during the competition, who will select the better performing players for the upcoming national camps. During this, General Secretary Bholanath Singh has clarified that after this championship, junior and senior level competitions will also be organized in Jharkhand.
