Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) General Secretary cum Spokesperson Vinod Kumar Pandey gave a strong message to Union Minister Giriraj Singh and said that he should keep his communal politics away from the soil of Jharkhand. Jharkhand will not be affected by this. Pandey said that the people of Jharkhand have given a befitting reply to the conspiracies of BJP in the last elections and now they have no moral basis to make baseless allegations like appeasement. Citing the poor condition of BJP ruled states, he said that the people there are distressed, yet BJP leaders point fingers at others. Pandey termed the objectionable comments of BJP leaders regarding the Emergency as inappropriate. He alleged that the BJP has turned constitutional institutions into its pocket institutions, which are being used to misuse power and suppress opponents. He said that there is a situation of undeclared emergency in the country, where some people are running the entire system at their behest. This is a threat to democracy. The people of Jharkhand are aware and will never accept the divisive policies of the BJP. He said that attempts to weaken the culture and social fabric of Jharkhand will not be tolerated. Pandey appealed to Giriraj Singh to put his energy into the development of the country and Jharkhand, and not in spreading communal tension. He also said that the policies and rhetoric of the BJP are weakening the constitutional values and unity of the country. The JMM warned that if the BJP does not change its strategy, the people of Jharkhand will not shy away from teaching them a lesson in the future too. Jharkhand under the leadership of Hemant Soren is committed to protecting the interests and social harmony of its province. The people of Jharkhand will no longer tolerate politics based on hatred and division.
