BJP national spokesperson and former Rajya Sabha MP Zafar Islam today targeted the Congress party. Islam was addressing a press conference at the BJP state office on Saturday. He said that the Modi government believes in Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas. BJP does not appease anyone; it is the thinking of the Modi government that the benefits of the schemes should reach those who are in need. Today, the schemes of the central government are reaching the Muslim community without any discrimination. He said that the Congress party considered Muslims only as vote bank during its rule for 60 years, and is considering them the same even today. But today the society has woken up. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to connect the poor Muslim community with the mainstream of development. Therefore, laws are being made in the interest of the society without interfering in religious matters. He said that there has been no interference in religious matters in the Waqf Amendment Act. Amendments have been made only to prevent misuse of the law, which will benefit crores of people. He said that people of Muslim society donate to Waqf for the welfare of the poor. But a few people either use it for personal use or lease out property worth crores at a very low price. Due to which the society does not get the benefits that it should have got. He said that with the property that Waqf has, facilities like schools, hospitals, universities, colleges can be provided to crores of poor Muslims, but no meaningful efforts have been made in this direction. Today, Modi government has taken initiative in this direction through law. He said that non-Muslims have been included in the management of Waqf property, which is absolutely right. With the help of capable people, the management of Waqf property will be good. There will be a manifold increase in income, which will benefit the society. Religious matters will be looked after by the people of Muslim society only. He said that the honourable court has also sought only some information while justifying the new law. He said that Congress leader Imran Pratapgarhi may play the game of words through Shayari but he cannot do any good to the Muslim community by opposing the amended Waqf law. He said that despite the propaganda and opposition of the Congress party, this is a law passed democratically in both the houses of the Parliament and signed by His Excellency the President. And it will bring smiles on the faces of the poor Muslim community. The Congress party should refrain from misleading the people.
