The Central Convention of Jharkhand Colliery Mazdoor Union and Jharkhand Shramik Sangh was held at CMPDI Ravindra Bhawan, Ranchi. The convention was conducted by all Mathur Prasad Mahato, Vinod Pandey, Vijay Hansda and Fagu Besra in the Presidium and all Sanjeev Bedia, Jai Narayan Mahato, Shailendra Maithi, Akhilesh Mahato alias Raju in the Executive Committee. The Chief Guest of this convention was Chief Minister Hemant Soren through video conferencing and Special Guest Minister Yogendra Prasad attended. About five hundred delegates attended this convention. Chief Guest CM Hemant Soren addressed the online convention. He called for strengthening the organization for the workers and displaced. Many resolutions have been passed in the convention, it was decided to intensify the struggle for the rights of workers and displaced against privatization, four anti-worker labour codes. Compensation of land to displaced peasants four times the market rate is included. Under rehabilitation, all eligible displaced unemployed persons above the age of eighteen years should be given jobs. Under rehabilitation, permanent houses built on twenty-five decimal plots of land in exchange of land, peasants should be made share potters in Coal India. Rehabilitation policy of Coal India 2012 has been demanded to be amended and made in accordance with Rehabilitation Land Acquisition Act 2013. Compensation to peasants holding forest leases obtained under settlement non-existent khas and forest land rights is also demanded. Jharkhand Coalery Mazdoor Union will participate in the nationwide general strike on 09 July. Declaration of Central Committee members for the next term and selection of executive members were done unanimously in the Central General Convention. Central President of Jharkhand Coalery Mazdoor Union Shibu Soren, Vice Presidents Mathura Prasad Mahato, Vinod Kumar Pandey, General Secretary Fagu Besra, Secretary Jai Narayan Mahato, Treasurer Sona Ram Manjhi have been unanimously elected. Jharkhand Shramik Sanghs Central President Shibu Soren, General Secretary Fagu Besra, Joint Secretary Shailendra Mathew, Treasurer Sanjeev Bedia were elected.
