BJP stages protest against State Govt over corruption and civic failures

  • | Monday | 7th July, 2025

The Jharkhand unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a day-long block-level protest at the Chas block headquarters on Monday, voicing strong opposition against the state government over rising corruption, deteriorating law and order, lack of municipal elections, and poor public utility services.   Former Bokaro MLA Biranchi Narayan, addressing the gathering, said that under the so-called Abua Raj, the people of the state are falling victim to daily exploitation. He alleged that pension schemes for the elderly and widows are stalled, while illegal mining and smuggling of sand continue unchecked. The government has failed to auction even a single sand ghat, he said.   Citing recent cases of daylight robberies, Narayan said criminals are operating without fear, and the government machinery appears paralyzed. Corruption is at its peak, unemployment is rising, and rural areas are struggling with erratic power and water supply, he added.   BJP leaders, including district president Jaydev Rai, Rohit Lal Singh,Sanjay Tyagi, Shashi Bhushan Ojha, Dheeraj Jha, Archana Singh, and others, criticised the state administration and demanded urgent corrective measures to restore law and order and improve governance.
