To mark the 63rd birthday of Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, a large-scale blood donation camp was organized on Tuesday at the Adani Power Plant premises in Godda, during which more than 400 units of blood were collected. This life-saving initiative is expected to play a crucial role in aiding thousands of people in need. The event began with a ceremonial lamp lighting by the companys Chief Business Officer, Prasoon Chakraborty, followed by the formal inauguration of the camp through a ribbon-cutting ceremony. To ensure the success of the drive, three separate blood donation centers were set up across the plant campus. From as early as 8 a.m., long queues of donors could be seen at these locations. Notably, alongside Adani employees, their family members also participated enthusiastically, transforming the camp into a vibrant social celebration. It is worth mentioning that under the leadership of Dr. Priti Adani, Chairperson of the Adani Foundation, this blood donation campaign is organized annually on the birthday of the Group Chairman as a gesture of service to society. All donors received a certificate signed by Dr. Priti Adani, along with a cap, T-shirt, tiffin box, and a snack pack as a token of appreciation. The camp was conducted under the supervision of the Adani Healthcare team, with support from the Red Cross Society Deoghar, vikassheel Seva Sansthan NGO, and the blood bank of Godda Sadar Hospital. More than 100 doctors, paramedics, data operators, and employees of various departments of the power plant contributed to the success of the event. Dr. Dharmendra Chaudhary, from Adani Power Plant, stated that the primary objective of the blood donation camp was to raise awareness about the importance of donating blood and to ensure that the collected units reach those in need efficiently. This initiative not only stood as a symbol of humanitarian service but also reflected a deep sense of social responsibility and compassion.
