Ranchi boy bags 49th spot, Jharkhand shines in JEE(A)

Yugesh Ajit Kothari of the Hill Top school stood first in the city while securing 120th rank in the country. Bibhor Singh of Subhash Public School in Giridih secured the 88th spot in the OBC category.More than 10 aspirants from the state capital secured themselves amongst the top 200 ranks in the nationwide examination. Around 135 students from these two schools have cracked the IIT JEE (Advanced). Uddesh Katyayan of JVM Shyamli ranked 101 while Abhiuday Pandey of the same school ranked 156th. Katyayan and Pandey also have same plans, they said.The Steel City of Jamshedpur also witnessed considerable success in this year's examination with more than 250 aspirants making the cut.

RANCHI/JAMSHEDPUR/BOKARO: Jharkhand's students achieved significant success at this year's Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced, the results of which were declared on Sunday.Amal Prasad of JVM Shyamli in Ranchi emerged the state topper in the examination and bagged the 49th place in the national toppers' list while Alok Minz of Doon Public School emerged second in the state with secured 61the rank in the country. Bibhor Singh of Subhash Public School in Giridih secured the 88th spot in the OBC category.More than 10 aspirants from the state capital secured themselves amongst the top 200 ranks in the nationwide examination. Uddesh Katyayan of JVM Shyamli ranked 101 while Abhiuday Pandey of the same school ranked 156th. Anirudh Anil Ojha secured the 172nd spot.Prasad, whose elder brother had cracked the examination a years ago, said his aim was to study computer science engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. Katyayan and Pandey also have same plans, they said.The Steel City of Jamshedpur also witnessed considerable success in this year's examination with more than 250 aspirants making the cut. DAV Bistupur student Mohit Kumar Gupta, who secured 150th rank, came second and Rohan Arihan of the Central Public School came third with in the city.The students of Chinmaya Vidyalaya and Delhi Public School (DPS) have once again proved their mettle in the entrance exam. Around 135 students from these two schools have cracked the IIT JEE (Advanced).
