Clogged drains, garbage add to monsoon crisis in Ranchi

RANCHI: Even as the Ranchi Municipal Corporation claimed to be prepared for the monsoon waterlogged streets unattended garbage dumps and overflowing drains are a common sight in the state capital.Denizens of Ratu Road, Karbala Chowk, Argora Chowk, Chutia are forced to bear the stench from overflowing garbage across the city and pass by overflowing drains. "It is difficult to walk through the filth and dirty water on roads," Ratu resident Ramesh Kumar said.
