One day, she received a message from an account "@Sunny_Baby_Love", requesting her to talk "indecent stuff" Finding it repulsive, she blocked the account. The next day, she again received a message from another account, "@NEELAMDARLING", making the same demand. Police identified the accused as Rajan Chauhan, a resident of Shimla district in Himachal Pradesh . He threatened to defame me with my photographs on Instagram.

PANCHKULA: A man stalked a 22-year old aspiring fashion blogger on photosharing app Instagram and sent her lewd messages by using multiple fake accounts, police said on Saturday after registering a case against him.The Kalka resident said she had created a page on Instagram related to fashion in order to collaborate with people from the field on a different name. One day, she received a message from an account "@Sunny_Baby_Love", requesting her to talk "indecent stuff" Finding it repulsive, she blocked the account. The next day, she again received a message from another account, "@NEELAMDARLING", making the same demand. She blocked that account too. The woman received similar messages from three other accounts using abusive language, while asking her to chat with her. After getting tired of blocking multiple accounts, she moved a complaint to the police.In her statement to the police, the woman said, "The accused was forcing me to chat with him. He threatened to defame me with my photographs on Instagram. It was torturous." Police identified the accused as Rajan Chauhan, a resident of Shimla district in Himachal Pradesh . A police team has left the city to catch him. The case was handed over to the cyber cell.A case under Sections 67 (punishment for publishing or transmitting obscene material in electronic form) of IT (Information & Technology) Act and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the IPC at the Kalka police station.Inspector Kamaljeet Singh, station house officer (SHO), Kalka, said, "Identity of the Instagram user who was sending obscene messages has been identified. He will be caught soon."
