More rain, snowfall likely in Himachal Pradesh this week

Himachal generally sees completely dry October but this year the high hills here have already received two spells of snowfall this month. Despite some sunny days, the minimum temperature of Himachal is still one to two degrees below the normal temperature for this time of the season. Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, Bharmaur, Manali and parts of upper Shimla and Mandi are witnessing cold nights. More snowfall in next few days may produce fresh cold waves. MANALI: The high hills of Himachal Pradesh will experience more snowfall while mid and low hills will receive rain from Wednesday, which is expected to bring down the mercury in most parts of the state.According to meteorological centre, Shimla, there will be rain and thundershowers in parts of Himachal Pradesh and snowfall at the higher reaches this week The lowest minimum temperature in the state was recorded at Keylong in Lahaul, at minus 0.1 degree Celsius while Manali recorded lowest temperature of the season at 3 degrees Celsius.
