‘22L eligible for cashless treatment under Ayushman yojna’

Shimla: Health minister Vipin Singh Parmar on Thursday said that 22 lakh persons in Himachal Pradesh were eligible to avail cashless treatment benefit under Ayushman Bharat scheme. A total 2.71 lakh families enrolled under the Mukhya Mantri State Health Care Scheme and HP Universal Health Protection Scheme have been migrated to Himcare. He said that under Himcare scheme cashless treatment coverage of Rs 5 lakh per year per family was being provided on family floater basis. In case of more than five members, the remaining members were being enrolled as a separate unit subject to the capping of five members for each such additional unit.He said that e-cards on the analogy of Ayushman Bharat were being issued to the families. He said that under the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna 193 hospitals had been empanelled in Himachal Pradesh, of which 35 are in private sector.Replying to a private member resolution moved by Nurpur MLA of the BJP Rakesh Pathania on ‘healthcare insurance policy of government of India and state government of Himachal Pradesh’, Parmar said that so far 2.60 lakh beneficiaries have been issued Ayushman Bharat e-cards while cashless treatment has been provided to 5,336 beneficiaries amounting to Rs 5.71 crore till February 12.He said that State Government was implementing Mukhya Mantri State Health Care Scheme for single women, senior citizens above 80 years of age, more than 70% disabled, anganwari workers and helpers, mid-day meal workers, part-time workers and contractual employees.
