HP CM says Central Parliamentary Board will decide tickets

SHIMLA: Knowing that annoying the claimants of tickets would create troubles that too when party is trying hard to repeat the performance of 2014 by winning all four parliamentary seats of state, a cautious state leadership is not denying the claims of any aspirant. He said that meeting with legislators was held so that they could work in their respective constituencies for the party.Sources said that during the meeting with legislators, Jai Ram Thakur has made it clear to all the MLAs that they will have to secure lead more than previous parliamentary election. On the issue of former union minister Sukh Ram being unhappy with his grandson Ashray Sharma being denied ticket from Mandi parliamentary seat, he said that Sukh Ram is neither annoyed nor he has discussed ticket issue with him.

Throwing the ball in the court of national leadership, state leaders have made it clear that final decision on tickets would be taken by the Central Parliamentary Board of party.With each seat having many claimants for tickets, BJP is worried about the dissidence after the announcement of tickets and already speculations are going on that some claimants are also in touch with Congress leaders.BJP on Saturday convened the meeting of BJP legislators in Shimla that was chaired by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and also attended by state president Satpal Singh Satti To ensure the victory of party on all four seats, Jai Ram Thakur and Satpal Singh Satti have taken their positions as they also held meeting with leaders who had contested the assembly and parliamentary elections in past.While interacting with media persons before the meeting, Jai Ram Thakur said that only Central Parliamentary Board of party decides about the tickets.
