Snowfall brings temperature down

Kalpa in Kinnaur recorded night temperature of 7.4 degrees Celsius and it was 9.6 degrees Celsius in Manali. Night temperature of Shimla was 12.1 degrees Celsius and it was 15.8 degrees Celsius in Dharamshala. MANALI: Fresh snowfall on hills of Kullu, Lahaul-Spiti, Chamba, Kangra and Kinnaur has brought down temperature across the state on Wednesday. Overcast in most parts of the state caused day temperature to drop by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius. Keylong in Lahaul-Spiti district recorded the lowest temperature in state at 6.3 degrees Celsius.

MANALI: Fresh snowfall on hills of Kullu, Lahaul-Spiti, Chamba, Kangra and Kinnaur has brought down temperature across the state on Wednesday. Given the possibility of more drop in temperature, people in Manali have started thronging woollen shops to buy sweaters, jackets and other warm clothes. Parts of Manali-Leh Highway, including Rohtang and Baralacha Passes, too received moderate snow. Overcast in most parts of the state caused day temperature to drop by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius. Keylong in Lahaul-Spiti district recorded the lowest temperature in state at 6.3 degrees Celsius. Kalpa in Kinnaur recorded night temperature of 7.4 degrees Celsius and it was 9.6 degrees Celsius in Manali. Night temperature of Shimla was 12.1 degrees Celsius and it was 15.8 degrees Celsius in Dharamshala. According to Shimla meteorological office, mid and low hills of the state will witness light rainfall in next 24 hours.
