105 couples tie knot in Kashmir's biggest mass marriage function

SRINAGAR: More than 100 couples belonging to underprivileged sections from various districts of the Valley tied the knot here at a simple but impressive ceremony, the biggest mass wedding ever in Kashmir, the organisers said.Hundreds of people attended the ceremony which was arranged by a religious and social organization, Jaffri Council, at Amar Singh Club here yesterday.The council has previously also held such functions but this year's event, with 105 couples, was the biggest so far.In 2015, the council facilitated the marriage of 38 couples from economically weaker sections (EWS) of the society.
