Delhi flyers touchdown late again, no flight from Kullu

Similarly, a SpiceJet flight with a scheduled arrival at 11.30am arrived at 1.24pm. CHANDIGARH: It was another day of delayed landings and flight cancellation on Wednesday as smog continued to trouble airline operators and passengers.Eight flights landed late at the Chandigarh international airport and one flight from Kullu was cancelled.Out of the eight, five flights were from New Delhi. A Jet Airways flight arrived at 4.09pm against its scheduled arrival at 1.50 pm.Flights from Mumbai and Srinagar were also delayed.The Airports Authority of India AAI ) has already cancelled 14 flights from Delhi to Chandigarh due to runway repair there till Thursday.

Already, the Chandigarh airport is operating in lesser strength due to runway repairs, and now work in Delhi has added to the woes.At the same time, the AAI has also extended the Notam (notice to airmen) till February 27, 2018, after the instrument landing system (ILS) installed on the runway developed a problem last week. Notam disallows aircraft to land when visibility is below 2,400 metre, said an official.
