Surat boy wins 3 medals in chess championship

Keeping the winning momentum, the under-18 boys team also bagged the silver in the standard team championship.More than 500 players from 26 countries participated in the Asian Youth event. SURAT: Jeet Jain, a fide master from the city, has made Surat proud once again by winning three medals in the Asian Youth Chess Championship 2018 held at Chiang Mai in Thailand from April 1 to April 10.Jeet along with Mitrabha Guha from West Bengal and Manish from Tamil Nadu won the gold medal by scoring highest 17.5 points in Blitz Asian Youth team chess championship.After a tough fight with Vietnam , the Indian boys bagged silver in the rapid Asian youth team chess championship.
