Surat: A 17-year-old class X girl and an Regional Transport Office (RTO) agent committed suicide in separate incidents reported since Sunday.Schoolgirl Karina Hussain Khan ended her life after heated argument with her mother over pending charges of her van driver who used to take her to the tuition class. Police learnt that her parents had not paid the van driver for the last two months. After some arguments, her mother told Karina that they will pay him on Monday. However, when there was no one at the house on Sunday afternoon, she hanged herself with the ceiling rod using a dupatta. The family lives in Nishad Park and her father is a labour contractor.In another case, a 38-year-old RTO agent in Rander hanged himself in the house apparently due to disturbed married life. The victim Prakash Patel got married four years ago but his wife went away to her parents house within few days due to some dispute. Despite persuading her, she had refused to return.
