SURAT: Crime branch sleuths arrested a 24-year-old man from Limbayat area of city on Tuesday with explosives enough to make nine crude bombs . In initial interrogation the accused told police that he brought the material to frame his former girlfriend’s boyfriend in police case. However, before he could act further on his plan police nabbed him.Police arrested Sonesingh alais Sonu Jugraj Thakur , a resident of Godadara and recovered a bag of explosives. From Thakur police recovered nine ammonium nitrate sticks, nine detonators, two battery, 250 gram ball bearing, three knives, 20 metre wire, three masks, a tester and a motorcycle. He was booked under various sections of Indian Penal Code including 286 (negligent conduct with respect to explosive substance) and Explosives Act."The accused told police that his girlfriend recently ditched him and started relationship with another man. Upset due to this the accused wanted to take revenge and planned to get his former girlfriend’s boyfriend arrested by planting the explosives in his home," said R R Sarvaiya , assistant commissioner of police, crime branch.Thakur, a native of Bajariya village in Damoh of Madhya Pradesh was settled in city since last nine years. He deals in land and properties. Police are questioning him to find out that from where he brought the explosives. #
