Two police points will come up near the ashram and cops will periodically talk to sadhvis to know if they were facing any problems. Meanwhile, it was also decided to find out if there was any negligence on the part of police that emboldened the miscreant to enter the ashram.The investigation into police negligence will be conducted by E division deputy commissioner of police. Surat: Police commissioner Satish Sharma assured leaders of Jain community on Monday that the miscreant who had molested a Jain sadhvi in an ashram at Gapipura on Sunday will be held soon.Sharma said, “We are taking steps to prevent such incidents in future.” He asked Jain leaders to bring to police’s notice even smallest of incident of harassment of Jain sadhvis and that it would be dealt with all seriousness.Police announced their decision to install CCTV cameras in some areas of Gapipura and entrusting crime branch to investigate the incident of molestation of the sadhvi, who was sleeping.
