Surat Municipal Corporation starts recovery of Rs 46 cr property tax from Reliance, BSNL

Surat: Pankaj Patel was appointed president of Kantha Vibhag Navnirman Mandal in a meeting held here a few days ago. To prevent any major reshuffle in the management team of the trust, Patel entered the fray and was supported by majority of the members. Patel and his family members are main donors of the trust. The mandal runs 12 schools and colleges in the city. “My focus will be on running the educational institutions in best possible way,” Patel said.Trust sources said some trustees had tried to remove individuals belonging to a specific group who were at its helm of affairs.
