Surat-Sharjah flight to take wings from January 30

Immediately after the development, Air India Express had shown interest to operate Surat-Sharjah flight service.However, AAI had issues with the afternoon time slot demanded by Air India Express due to the increased domestic operation and rush of passengers. The airline has added Surat and Sharjah destination on its website already.Sources said Air India Express will be operating Surat-Sharjah flight service twice a week in the initial phase and the frequency will be increased in the summer schedule by almost five service in a week.Paatil said, “After long deliberations between civil aviation department, AAI and Air India Express, it was decided to commence Surat-Sharjah flight service from January 30.
