Surat Two killed in accident near Bardoli

The motorcycle was coming to the main road from wrong side of the service road. Gavit was working at the site as a labourer.A police officer of Bardoli police station said, “We have checked CCTV footage. His name is Suresh Gamit and the bus was from Songadh depot of Tapi district Sadadiya had taken a contract to build a wall at Bardoli disposal site. The duo went to the petrol pump in Vyara on their motorcycle and bought some diesel. When they were returning from service road, the GSRTC bus coming from the opposite side of Bardoli-Vyara service road rammed into their motorcycle, killing Sadadiya, who was riding it, and Gavit, pillion rider, on the spot.

SURAT: Two persons on a motorcycle were killed in an accident with a bus belonging to Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) on Surat-Dhulia Road near Bardoli on National Highway-53 at 9.45am on Thursday.The deceased were Kanu Sadadiya, 50, a resident of Kapodra, and Ajit Gavit, 45, a labourer and native of Nandurbar, Maharashtra.Sadadiya, a contractor, wanted some diesel for his machine and so asked Gavit to come with him on his motorcycle to a petrol pump. The duo went to the petrol pump in Vyara on their motorcycle and bought some diesel. When they were returning from service road, the GSRTC bus coming from the opposite side of Bardoli-Vyara service road rammed into their motorcycle, killing Sadadiya, who was riding it, and Gavit, pillion rider, on the spot. The driver of the bus plying on Surat-Ukai route fled the spot. His name is Suresh Gamit and the bus was from Songadh depot of Tapi district Sadadiya had taken a contract to build a wall at Bardoli disposal site. Gavit was working at the site as a labourer.A police officer of Bardoli police station said, “We have checked CCTV footage. The motorcycle was coming to the main road from wrong side of the service road. The driver was driving the bus recklessly and will be nabbed soon.”
