Man booked for abetting suicide of married woman

Surat: A 30-year-old man from Bhathena area of the city was booked at Pandesara police station on Wednesday for abetting the suicide of a 30-year-old married woman. The woman ended life on February 2 by hanging self at home and has described her trauma in a suicide note.Police booked Vimal alias Vicky Rana for allegedly abetting the suicide of Minal Prasad. The accused developed physical relationship with the woman promising marriage but later refused. The woman was in an extramarital affair and was cheated by her boyfriend,” said a police officer of Pandesara police station. She has described in the suicide note how Rana promised to marry her and then refused after satisfying his urge.“Police are in search of the accused.

The offence was registered by police after investigation and based on details provided by her family members. The complaint was lodged by her husband Vinod, an employee in an industry at Sachin.Rana promised marriage to the woman to develop physical relationship four months ago. He used to meet her when her husband went out for job.Vinod recently came to know about his wife’s friendship and when the woman asked Rana to marry her, he refused. Uncertainty about her future forced the woman to take the extreme step. She has described in the suicide note how Rana promised to marry her and then refused after satisfying his urge.“Police are in search of the accused. He will be arrested soon. The woman was in an extramarital affair and was cheated by her boyfriend,” said a police officer of Pandesara police station.
