Burglars target victims on road in Surat

SURAT: Police booked two unidentified persons in Puna police station on Saturday for allegedly stealing a small aluminum bag with gold jewellery worth Rs 7.81 lakh from a car. "In preliminary investigation police found that two men on a motorcycle came and stole the valuables. Patel boarded an auto rickshaw on shared basis in which already three passengers were sitting. Patel, an Adajan area resident, lost the money in the ride that was not longer than five minutes. They kept on moving after Patel boarded and stole the cash.

SURAT: Police booked two unidentified persons in Puna police station on Saturday for allegedly stealing a small aluminum bag with gold jewellery worth Rs 7.81 lakh from a car. The burglars broke front door glass of Rajni Gajera 's car when it was parked on road near Balmukund Diamond Building on Sita Nagar to Puna Gam Road Gajera, a property broker, had gone for some work and parked his car at the spot when the valuables were stolen after breaking the car glass on Saturday evening. The jewellery was kept in a locked aluminum bag under the front seat."In preliminary investigation police found that two men on a motorcycle came and stole the valuables. Police are examining CCTV footages to identify the vehicle and the suspects involved," said police.In another theft, Anirudhh Patel , an embroidery machine businessman, lost Rs 2.15 lakh in an auto rickshaw while going to railway station from Poddar Arcade in Varachha on Saturday. Patel boarded an auto rickshaw on shared basis in which already three passengers were sitting. They kept on moving after Patel boarded and stole the cash. Patel, an Adajan area resident, lost the money in the ride that was not longer than five minutes. Police are examining CCTV footages to identify the rickshaw.
