THANE: Two babies had a miraculous escape after a small portion of the plaster on the ceiling of the gynaecology ward at Thane civil hospital fell on their bed late on Tuesday.Doctors said there were no visible injuries on the month-old infant and the four-day-old baby. “We were kept waiting in the open; we were worried that our babies would contract some infection. Even x-ray reports showed the infants had suffered no injuries, the doctors informed their parents. We were then sent to a ward in the adjacent building, but it was stinking so we left,” a patient told TOI. Civil surgeon Dr Kailash Pawar said: “The infants did not suffer any injuries.
