He was found dead near the public toilet early on Monday morning by neighbours who alerted his family THANE: A 27-year-old youth was found dead with his throat slashed by a sharp object near the public toilet in the Bhim Nagar area of Vartak Nagar early on Monday.Police said mystery surrounds the killing of Anil Gadekar as his family claimed that he had slept off on his bed after coming home heavily drunk.However, Gadekar was found dead near the public toilet early on Monday morning by the neighbours who in turn alerted his family.Police said Gadekar works as a housekeeping staff in a private company at Wagle Estate and stays with his family in Vartak Nagar.The police said that Gadekar was found lying in pool of blood with his neck slashed deep.The family members rushed him to the hospital where doctors declared him dead before arrival.The Vartak Nagar police have registered a case under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code ( IPC ) against unidentified persons and are trying to trace the killers.Police said mystery surrounds the killing of Anil Gadekar as his family claimed that he had slept off on his bed after coming home heavily drunk.
