Nishikant Karlikar THANE: The district sessions court sentenced a couple from Navi Mumbai to 10 years' rigorous imprisonment for the rape of a 13-year-old girl, who is a distant relativeSpecial judge P P Jadhav also fined Allauddin Mansuri, a resident of Warlipada in Pawane village, and his wife Akhtari Begum, Rs11,000 each.Prosecutor Vivek Kadu told the court Akhtari lured the girl, a Class VIII student, to their home and her husband forced himself on the minor girl.The harassment continued as the victim was threatened into silence, the prosecution said.The abuse came to light when the victim complained of stomach ache and a medical examination revealed she was four months pregnant.
