Boy injured after he falls into society’s 15-ft deep pit

While playing, the boy suddenly slipped and fell in the pit. Thane: A 11-year-old boy was seriously injured after he slipped and fell into a rain water-filled pit that was dug up for construction wokr in his building compound on Sunday.The victim, Vedant Bagkar, was playing with his friends near the 15-ft deep pit, which was filled with water. They rushed him to a nearby hospital after which they shifted him to a private hospital in Thane. The boy was administered treatment and is recuperating in the ICU.The Kalwa police registered a case of negligence and causing grievous injury against the builders. His friends raised an alarm after which the watchmen dived in and brought the boy out.A society member tried to give Vedant, who was unconscious, CPR.
