Green protocol for Beemapally Urus

The city Corporation will implement a green protocol-based urban management system in the Beemapally festival area. The annual Urus at the mosque is scheduled to commence on February 17 and end on February 27. The Corporation would work in tandem with the Kerala Water Authority to ensure round-the-clock treated drinking water supply. Prasanth said temporary toilets and aero bins to collect waste would be set up. Mr. Prasanth said he had asked the police to draw up a scheme to regulate traffic and ensure security.

Prasanth said temporary toilets and aero bins to collect waste would be set up. He urged devotees to turn to more eco-friendly packing. The Corporation would work in tandem with the Kerala Water Authority to ensure round-the-clock treated drinking water supply. The roads leading to the pilgrimage centre would be resurfaced. A medical team would be deployed at the spot and a temporary infirmary with modern facilities set up. Mr. Prasanth said he had asked the police to draw up a scheme to regulate traffic and ensure security. The KSRTC would conduct special services for the festival.
