The district plan is a guideline that helps decide what type of development projects are needed for the district, district panchayat president V.K.
He was speaking after inaugurating a development seminar as part of the second People’s Plan here on Tuesday.
Mr. Madhu said the district plan was formed by 27 subcommittees on the basis of comprehensive data on each sector.
However, panchayats should keep the district plan in mind while formulating projects in each sector.
It was hoped that by March 31, the three-tier panchayats, municipalities, and the city Corporation would have obtained the nod for their projects, he said.
