Renovated auditorium at Pattom St. Mary’s school

The Mar Gregorios jubilee auditorium of the St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Pattom, has become high-tech. The renovated auditorium, touted to be the largest among schools in the district, is capable of accommodating 4,500 persons on the lower tier and another 2,000 on the upper tier. Speaking at its formal inauguration, Cardinal Mar Baselios Cleemis Catholicos of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church revealed that Governor P. Sathasivam had recommended the renovation of the auditorium at a function held recently. This had proved instrumental in undertaking the necessary works at a cost of ?40 lakh. Actor Nedumudi Venu, school Principal C.C. John, Headmaster Aby Abraham, and Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) president A. Jayakumar also spoke on the occasion.
