‘Fiction’ overcomes all hurdles, ready to roll

Thiruvananthapuram: Be it a short film or a feature film, funding is the major headache for the young independent film makers.A group of budding independent film makers in the city, who started a production company named 11th Hour Productions, had overcome these factors with their serious approach and passion for cinema. ‘Fiction’ was made on a shoestring budget of less Rs 2 lakh. The shoot which began in June 2016 with a schedule of two months was completed in 30 days. Now, they are all set to release their very first feature film, ‘Fiction’.Abhilash Sudheesh, the director and producer of the film who has just completed his masters in journalism from Kerala University campus, Kariavattom, said that ‘Fiction’ was a homemade movie that has not compromised on quality.

The film is based on a short story, ‘Taxi’, written by 23-year-old Abhiram Gopakumar who also handled the camera for the movie.The movie is scripted by the director and Suryakanth Roy, a law student from Kochi.
