The State capital, which witnessed a massive relief material collection drive until a few days ago, has transitioned into a transit hub for goods that come from far-off places. The district administration has begun three storage centres to unpack loads of items, segregate, and repack them to be sent to relief camps across the State. With large quantities of relief items arriving by air and rail, the district administration is on the lookout for more temporary storage spaces such as auditoriums and godowns.
