BJP march to conclude today

Thiruvananthapuram: The long march led by BJP state president P S Sreedhran Pillai will conclude before Secretariat on Monday. The BJP supporters from different parts of the state will be reaching the state capital to take part in the yatra. The BJP leader had a discussion with the police authorities and necessary traffic restrictions have been imposed in the city. “The TDB president is a puppet in the hands of the CPM and he cannot act against the party interests. He has already shown his double standard in the issue,” he said.On Monday, the long march will start from Pattom to Secretariat at 10.30am.

Thiruvananthapuram: The long march led by BJP state president P S Sreedhran Pillai will conclude before Secretariat on Monday. It will be a show of strength of the party, protesting against the Supreme Court verdict on women entry to Sabarimala The march entered the district on Sunday at Attingal where it was inaugurated by MP Suresh Gopi . On Monday, the concluding ceremony of the march will be addressed by party senior leader Bandaru Dattatreya and general secretary Muraleedhar Rao.The march began from Pandalam on October 10 in protest against the CPM-led LDF government’s “hasty move” to implement the SC order. Pillai said the Save Sabarimala Yatra from Pandalam to Thiruvananthapuram was organized to show how much worried the devotees were about the state government decision.The government is trying to implement the SC verdict by suppressing the Hindu faith and the sentiments of the believers, Pillai said, adding that the meeting convened by the Travancore devaswom board on Tuesday with the tantri family and Pandalam royal family would be an eyewash. “The TDB president is a puppet in the hands of the CPM and he cannot act against the party interests.
