Minor shuffle in police department

Incumbent SP, Pathanamthitta, B Asokan has been appointed as SP, vigilance and anti-corruption bureau special investigation unit-1. The post of unit chief was left vacant after R Sukeshan, who was holding the post, retired from the service on May 31. THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government made a minor shuffle at the level of superintendents of police, with incumbent Kollam city police commissioner Satheesh Bino being posted as SP, Pathanamthitta.Ajeetha Begum, who was on leave, will now replace Satheesh Bino as the Kollam commissioner. While N Abdul Rasheed has been appointed as SP, crime branch, Anto K M has been appointed as SP, special cell in the police headquarters, Bastin Sabu as commandant of KAP-1, and Venugopalan T C as SP, economic offences wing-III, Kozhikode.A major shuffle of IPS is awaited at the end of June when the incumbent state police chief T P Senkumar will retire from service. Six deputy superintendents of police who have been promoted as SPs (non-IPS) have been appointed in various designations to fill the vacancies that cropped up after 10 SPs retired on May 31.Two of the officers- Kishore Kumar J and Aji V S- have been appointed in vigilance and anti-corruption bureau in the capital as SP of southern range and SP of special cell, respectively.
