UDAIPUR: In a horrifying incident, a 35-year-old man stabbed his brother's wife with a sword and killed her mercilessly when the woman rebuked him for not paying back a loan her husband had taken 14 years ago. The incident happened on late Thursday night in Poonawada Phala Rawat village under Dhambola police station of Dungarpur district According to the police in 2005, Kalu Rawat had taken a bank loan for the marriage of his younger brother Raman (35). Even after many years, Raman did not repay the loan amount to his brother and the bank closed Kalu's account due to the non-payment of loan. Kalu needed money for personal use but he could not avail loan. He kept asking his brother for the loan closure but the latter didn’t pay heed to his brother. Kalu's wife Shardi was infuriated with Raman for the same.On Thursday, the woman had a heated conversation with him. In a fit of fury, Raman picked a sword kept in the house and stabbed his sister-in-law on her neck. When her son Shailesh (18) rushed to stop his uncle, he stabbed the boy too who sustained severe injuries. Both were taken to the Simalwada hospital where the woman was declared dead while the boy was referred to the neighbouring Gujarat hospital. According to the sources the accused was absconding and was held later.
