Gujarat’s First Crocodile Park will soon be started near the Statue of Unity for visitors. The Crocodile Park will be constructed in the premises of Sardar Patel Zoological Park, known as Jungle Safari, in Kevadia. The exotic zoological Park stands near the largest Asian Statue.

Dr Ram Ratan Nala, director, Sardar Patel Zoological Park said “The idea is to add one more attraction to the safari that has become very popular among the tourists. e plan to build a crocodile park in our premises. design for the park is ready and we have invited bids for the project. Once completed, the crocodile park will be one of the greatest attractions in Safari.”

He added, “ The park is being divided into two parts, one zone will be for public viewing of crocodiles while the other section will be for rescued crocodiles.” 

All the safety measures are being taken into concern, it is being ensured that the crocodiles have enough space to swim freely without getting into territorial conflicts among each other.

The park will be spread in the area of 5,500 square meters and will have PUF Panel roof worth Rs 98 lakh. The estimated time for completing the project is sex months after which the authorities may propose to start a Breeding Center alongside Rescue Center that is being built.

Statue Of Unity is one of the major attraction of the state and attracts a huge number of tourists. Addition of more leisure activity around will add to the footfall of the crowd and benefit the tourism sector and local business.
