Since the beginning of the pandemic, there are a group of people who put their nation ahead of themselves to constantly perform their duties and fight coronavirus from the frontline. We have constantly been grateful to have such brave covid warriors among us.

In order to pay their tribute to COVID warriors, Vadodara`s Inorbit Mall has installed a 500 kg sculpture to honour them. On June 21, the mall dedicated this sculpture to police, doctors and common men alike.

"Vadodara is a cultural hub and we wanted to thank COVID warriors. We have dedicated this to police, doctors, and common man who have collaboratively worked in the second wave and ensured everybody`s safety, in the second wave common man too have played a vital role in saving the earth" said mall manager Ritu.

This comes a month after a Delhi-based doctor released a lyrical poem to honour the fighting spirit of COVID frontline workers. Dr Gurpreet Gulati, a former AIIMS professor turned musician. His poem `Tere Saath Hoon` (on YouTube/joerocks _aka_gurpreet) is a tribute to corona warriors.

‘Tere saath tha, tere saath hun. Aae mere dost, Mai tere paas hun...’ are the opening lines of this tribute by Gulati, a radiologist who goes by the stage moniker Joerocks.

In May 2021, Padma Shri awardee and sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik too paid tribute to the COVID-19 warriors who have been working tirelessly to save lives amid the devastating second wave of the pandemic in India.

Sharing a picture of his sand art, which he made at the Puri beach of Odisha, he appealed to his fans to salute and remember the efforts of those who are risking their lives to save others. "WE SALUTE YOU," he wrote.
