India got its first car-Maruti 800, Kapil Dev lifted World Cup

India manufactured its own home made car Maruti 800. The keys of India’s first car was given to its owner Harpal Singh and his wife Gulshanbeer Kaur. The then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had handed over keys to Harpal Singh.
