While Tripura registered 11 new Covid19 positive cases, 58 other patients, who were earlier infected by the virus, have been discharged from hospital on Thursday. Confirming the news, Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb in a tweet on Thursday night said a total of 1,250 samples were tested in the state on Thursday, out of which 11 were found positive for Covid19. The chief minister informed that while one of the infected patients is a driver, the 10 others have travel history. “Out of 1250 samples tested for COVID-19 today, more 11 persons found POSITIVE. Among them 1 is truck driver & the others have travel history,” said chief minister Deb. Out of the positive cases, Unakoti district has reported 4 positive cases, Sepahijala district has reported 3 cases, North Tripura district has reported 3 cases and 1 case has been confirmed in Dhalai district. “The count includes: Unokoti District: 04. All the discharged patients were undergoing treatment in the Covid Care Center at Hapania. “Delighted to share that, 58 COVID-19 patients have been tested NEGATIVE today and released from Covid Care Center, Hapania,” chief minister Deb shared on his Twitter handle. The chief minister has lauded the efforts of the health staff for their dedicated service in the fight against Covid19. “I appreciate the role of our Healthcare staff for their dedicated services. With the blessings of Mata Tripurasundari we shall overcome this pandemic soon,” he added. Tripura has so far recorded one Covid19 death while another infected patient died an unnatural death before testing positive for the virus.
