Agra: A 20-year-old youth was run over by a goods train at Firozabad railway station on Wednesday while he was trying to cross the railway track.The deceased was identified as Ranu Kumar of Kotla village in Firozabad districtThe accident occurred at around 11.20 am between the platform number 3 and 4.Eyewitnesses claimed that the youth jumped before the train in an attempt to commit suicide. However, GRP personnel denied any such motive.Mukesh Malik, station officer of Firozabad GRP, said, “No suicide letter was recovered from the youth and the family members have also not said anything to suggest such motives.”“The victim was trying to cross the railway track when he came under the wheels of the train. His body was handed over to the family after conducting postmortem,” he added.
