Registrar RP Singh has sought clarification from the officials concerned.According to sources, there are around 60 teachers associated with various courses run by Agra university on its own campus. The registrar after assuming charge in October last year had sought the teachers' records. He was told that records were not available and have been misplaced. As the registrar started enquiring in the matter, he met with an accident and got fracture in his leg. After medical leave, he resumed work earlier this week and issued a reminder to the residential wing office in-charge Madhusudan Sharma seeking record of teachers. He asked the official how these important records could go missing.Registrar RP Singh said, “Records of 43 teachers are missing. I have sought response in this regard. The matter will be probed and appropriate action will be taken."According to sources, many teachers have irregularities involved in their appointments. In some cases, academic documents used by teachers for appointment are in questions. Many of the teachers whose record are missing have been promoted by varsity administration in recent years.Meanwhile, residential wing office in-charge Madhusudan Sharma said, “He was assigned duty related to the residential wing in 2010. Even at that time, complete records of teachers were not available."
