Medicolegal examination video goes viral, probe ordered

Agra: The video footage made during medicolegal examination of two women at the emergency ward of SN Medical College here that had gone viral on social media has added a new twist to the clash that allegedly broke out between doctors and the women’s family members. At the emergency ward, another clash broke out — this time between doctors and the patients’ family. A probe has been ordered into the clash and to find out who is behind circulating the video on social media.According to sources, the two women came for a medical examination from Achhnera block of Agra on April 18 after they were “injured” in a clash between two groups in their locality. We have also submitted a complaint with police in this regard and demanded the action against those who have tried to malign the image of both women.”Principal SN Medical College Dr Saroj Singh said a three-members panel has been formed to investigate the clash at the hospital on April 18 and will also probe to find out who was behind the circulating the video on social media. The latter alleged that the doctors had beaten them up after accusing them of making a video of the conversation they were having.However, medical college officials blamed said the patients’ family members for the fracas, alleging they were trying to persuade emergency medical officer, Dr Saurabh Sharma, to issue a fake medical certificate to them.While talking in this regard to TOI, Sindi Qureshi, nephew of the women, said, “I came to know about the video through social media on Friday night and our family members were shocked.
