Toll plaza staff booked for manhandling commuters after video goes viral

He also alleged that the staff at the toll plaza violate several rules. For this, they had requested the staff to make the toll slip fast but they misbehaved with them. As per video, they (employees of toll booth) allegedly attacked them.While, the manager of Mahuvan Toll plaza, Anoop Yadav alleged that the commuters were forcibly trying to cross the barricade of the two wheeler lane and when the staff objected, they misbehaved with them. However, he admitted that few of their staff members had attacked the commuters.He said, the matter was mutually resolved with the them and they didn’t lodge any complaint against the staff but the police had themselves lodged the complaint.This is not the first time when toll plaza staff has been embroiled in such controversies. Last year in August, employees of a Mahuvan toll-booth had attacked a police team when they reached to investigate complaints of alleged misbehaviour and over- charging by a few travellers.BJP MLA, Mathura, Pooran Prakash also claimed that he had received several complaints against the toll plaza staff about their arrogant and rude behaviour.

AGRA: Farah police on Saturday booked 30 people, including the security staff of Mahuvan toll plaza on National Highway-2 for allegedly manhandling commuters travelling to Delhi on Friday evening.Police swung into action after a video showing about 20/25 people, armed with sticks, assaulting commuters at the toll plaza, went viral on social media.Talking to TOI, station house officer of Farah police station, Azad Pal Singh said that a FIR under various sections of IPC including 307 (attempt to murder), 506 (criminal intimidation), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 147 (riots) and 148 (rioting, armed with deadly weapon) was registered against 20 named and 10 unknown people of toll plaza.The SHO said, according to information, the commuters had some emergency and they just wanted to reach Delhi early. For this, they had requested the staff to make the toll slip fast but they misbehaved with them.
