Two teenagers killed, one injured after being hit by SUV

Identified as Sandeep Kushwaha and Bhanu, the two were killed while being taken to a hospital, while their thrid friend Mohit was gravely injured. Total 570 were also injured. AGRA: Two teenage boys were killed and one was injured after being runover by a speeding car while they were crossing the highway on Monday early morning in Agra.The incident occurred at around 5:15 am on Gwalior highway close to Sewla Jat area of Sadar police jurisdiction when the group of four teenage boys were crossing the road. The driver tried hard to control the car and applied brakes to stop, but unfortunately, couldn’t avoid the accident.”“The retired armyman who was on steering wheels, rush the victims to a nearest private hospital in his car but could save only one boy. Based on the written complaint of the victim’s relative, an FIR against him has been lodged under IPC sections 279 (Rash driving or riding on a public way), 304A (Causing death by negligence) and 337(Causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others),” he added.According to transport ministry data, in 2016 Agra stood third in the state with 522 casualties in total 1062 road accident .

All the victims hailed from Naina Brahmin village and were students of class VII.Fauji ram, uncle of injured Mohit said, “The boys have gone for jogging near highway, when a speeding SUV hit them from behind.”Ajay, the youth who was also accompanying the victims in morning jog said, “After the incident, the driver of the SUV took the trio to a private hospital in his car.”The accused driver was identified as Jitendar Tomar, a retired army man, who was retruning home (Tajganj) along with his relative from Bhind, Madhya Pradesh Station house officer, Narendar Kumar of Sadar said, “The teenage boys were crossing the divider of the highway, when the speeding car hit them.
