Special investigation team at Agra varsity to gather evidences in BEd scam

AGRA: The Allahabad high court-monitored special investigation team (SIT), which is probing the alleged issuance of fake BEd degrees at Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University , is visiting the varsity offices to gather evidence. The university will follow the orders of the high court.” The SIT has already arrested half a dozen university employees.The investigators are learnt to have also compiled a list of all the officials and employees on duty during 2004-05 session. Besides, names of 84 colleges involved in malpractices also feature on the list.University public relations officer GS Sharma said, “The administration is cooperating with the SIT and all the required details concerning the case are being shared. The SIT has sought original academic records of nine BEd candidates of 2004-05 session as they are suspected to have been issued fake marksheets.The SIT officials arrived at the university campus on Tuesday and continued their search for evidence on Wednesday at the BEd section and examination department.According to sources, the investigating team is soon going to file a chargesheet in the court against 30 people, including some senior university officials and employees, who had signed BEd marksheets generated on forged roll numbers.
