Three illegal Bangladeshi immigrants, living in Agra for 15 years

Saeedullah Ghazi (42), a native of Baigasa village of Khulna district in Bangladesh, was arrested along with his wife Ratna (40) and son Shamim (22), late on Friday from Runkata area here. All the three have Aadhaar, PAN and voter ID cards as well as and SBI bank accounts.An FIR was lodged against them on Saturday under IPC’s sections 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 467 (forgery of valuable security, will, etc), 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating), 471 (using as genuine a forged document) and under various sections of the Foreigners Act 1946.Police have also detained three more children of Saeedullah who were born in India. One of them, a girl, studies in class X, a boy studies in grade IV, while the youngest one is four-year-old.According to police, Saeedullah Ghazi illegally crossed Indo-Bangladesh border 15 years ago with his wife and son, and stayed for a brief period in Kolkata. Later, for better job opportunity, he moved to Mathura and subsequently to Agra eight years ago.“In Agra, he started scrap business on a rented farm land and even bought two pick-up trucks and a mini truck to expand his business. He earned enough money to buy two properties in Agra and Kolkata,” said Ajay Kaushal, station house officer of Sikandara.Hiredesh Katheria, circle officer of LIU’s Agra unit, said, “Saeedullah Ghazi managed to obtain Aadhaar, PAN and voter ID cards and bank accounts by forging documents.
