Agra univ to conduct exams at examinees’ colleges, plaint filed

Usually, exams are conducted at nodal centres, not where the examinees study, so that cheating doesn't take place. The National Student Union of India (NSUI) protested the decision and registered a complaint on the chief minister’s Jansunwai portal.Exams for other courses, including BA, B.Sc, B.Com, LL.B etc. were conducted at nodal centers.Earlier, the state government had ordered authorities to ensure exams aren’t conducted at the centres where the examinees study, to avoid cheating. NSUI student leaders alleged that some of the university officials had made a deal with the management of the colleges. The arrangement was made to allow cheating in the exam. Last year, when the BAMS exams were conducted at the nodal centres, only 20% students had managed to pass.Amit Singh, former general secretary of NSUI said, “University administration is going against the state government’s orders of not conducting exams at self-centers. If BAMS exams are not conducted at nodal centers, NSUI will be forced to stage a massive protest. For now, we have brought the matter to notice of the chief minister through the Jansunwai Portal”.University registrar KN Singh didn’t responded to calls from TOI.
